If you want to eat in the Pizzeria Fornelil, you should reserve in good time, because this pizzeria has long been known as good and is accordingly well attended. Without a reservation it will be difficult to find a free seat - especially at lunchtime. In addition to the usual pizza and pasta dishes, there are also very good meat and fish dishes, and I would particularly like to recommend the "Chef's recommendation" section. The staff is very friendly, the dining room is very clean and well-kept and there was nothing wrong with what I have eaten there so far. All portions tasted very good, big enough and filled you up. I will gladly come again.

Always beautiful. After fire damage again very tastefully renovated. The hygiene concept is very well thought out and consumer-friendly. We felt very safe due to the corona. A complaint was handled immediately and very friendly. As guests, we felt we were treated extremely well. The portions are appropriate in terms of quantity and moderately priced. The best selection of fresh fish, pasta and pizza, very good steaks in different sauces .. The kitchen is great, the service is always nice and friendly, so I can only recommend it .. All the dishes are very tasty, and we are always happy to come back! !!

Very nice food and service

Rating of 4.5 is way too much here. That's why I'm giving a star here so that it becomes more realistic. Waited an hour for the food. Didn't have the impression that one was overwhelmed. Maybe they just wanted to sell more drinks that we had due to the waiting time. But at this point it's just a guess. I ordered the Tagliatelle Salmone for just under 14 €. A cup of cream, 150 grams of pasta and a bit of frozen salmon I could have warmed myself in a pot at home in 5 minutes. It tasted as if only these three ingredients were in it. So it was money badly invested. Can't remember ever adding so much salt and pepper to food in a restaurant. Was completely tasteless. Just annoying. But maybe I was just unlucky ...

We were in Trier and visited this great restaurant, it's just delicious, the staff is very nice and friendly, the food is amazing. We look forward to the next time we come to Trier from Cologne, we will definitely go there again.

Unique, freshly prepared food. Rarely seen these days. The sauces are unique and very tasty. The restaurant offers a large selection of fish, as well as oysters, shrimps etc. You have to experience it :) Thank you, dear Fornelli team!

Spot on! Being totally disorganised and feckless vegetarians, we turned up, unplanned, without reservation and dressed for a bit of country rambling. No problem, we were ushered in without the disdain, rifled down long noses, which is typical of lesser establishments (all to frequently). The restaurant is on the first floor, above the street, is light and airy, and comfortable - not too 'cheek by jowl'. We had a salad, a veggy pizza and desert, followed by coffee. Each was excellent, tasty, fresh, well-prepared and presented. Italian desert, for me, is very difficult - when my eyes eventually focus on the menu, only the words "tiramisu" coalesce. However banal sounding, this was very nice, well-presented and, although I feel it could have used a little more massala, it was one of the better ones that I've had.

Perfect Italian cuisine in affordable prices. Also one of the very few places in Trier to accept American Express.

Pizza with Edammer occupied and relatively small, minced meat dry, glasses not exactly clean, cracks in the seat with stickers partly repaired, toilet clean.

Very quaint little Italian restaurant on the second floor. The pizza and beer were very good. Some of my co-workers had the pasta...great portion size. Another great place to eat in Trier!

Best Italian restaurant, that I know in Trier from the ones where I have been. Friendly staff and pretty fast service. The restaurant is however quite small, therefore it can sometimes become very crowded. It would therefore be best to get a reservation if you are scared, that it might be full. The prices are however very ok and the quality of the food is also very good

Last day in Trier, walking around looking for a spot open on Easter Monday and we come across this restaurant. It's out of the tourist spot and you might miss it but if you're in town and looking for Italian, this is the place to be. The waiters were friendly and speak both German and English. The bruschetta was made with fresh bread - amazing. The Gambas were fresh and the portions are filling! You won't be sorry.

Got a plain pizza that was better than average. A buddy got pizza with shrimp and artichoke which was an excellent combination. Highly recommend the more complex pizzas. Worth the price. Wine selection could he better
